During the diagnostic process, women with autism are less likely to be detected. Hence, they would delay treatment. And untimately, the effect may go on in adulthood and affect them with relationships and looking for jobs.

As to date, the society lacks diagnosis specifically for the female population. According to claims by Chrarity Scottish Autism, there are lots of children with potentials. Unfortunately, not all of them come into treatment that is appropriate for them. This may affect them academically, financially, and socially. Since the general public may presume women are more social in various social settings, this may make women with autism more stressful in those situations.

Despite women with autism maybe able to get married and have children, this doesn’t make them in lieu of challenges. Some may develop mental issues due to the stress they experienced. To better support women with autism, it is necessary to research for a better diagnostic requirement.
