Many adults and children are in favor of labyrinth game, which is also an educational toy that trains hand-eye coordination and balance. Today we will provide you an idea of DIY a child’s private labyrinth game by using reusable materials and designing different “challenges” from the starting point to the end.

Materials: Cardboard box, cut long paper, glue, paper roll, scissors, ping pong

Steps:
1. Draw a sketch of the labyrinth on a piece of cardboard and the width of routes are a bit larger than that of ping pong. The board can be placed at the bottom of the cardboard box to make it more convenient to change to different difficulty or theme.
2. According to the designed route, stick the long strips vertically with glue.
3. Add some difficulty to the game, such as paper rolls of different shapes as obstacles.
4. Can mark the starting point and the end on the finished product and add some favorite decorations.

A simple homemade labyrinth game can enhance child’s different abilities and problem-solving experiences through hands-on exploration. Especially for children with autism, who lack enriched play mode and proper communication skills, such DIY experience can cultivate children’s critical thinking in parent-child fun and enjoy the happiness of problem-solving with communication and cooperation. In addition, attention can also be trained while self-esteem will be strengthened during the handmade process or game. a mile to a smile!
