In this hot summer holiday, going for “water” is the best way to cool down! There are 44 public swimming pools in Hong Kong, in which many of them have water slides and rides. They definitely create fun for families and children.

In the swimming pool, you can play a variety of parent-child games, such as “London Bridge is falling down”. Two people facing each other holding hands and build a “bridge.” Just like the normal way of playing, the only difference is after each successful pass, the bridge would move downwards a bit. When it finally immersed in water, the team that walk through has to swim under the bridge in the water. This requires enough coordination to ensure the success of the group.

In fact, parents can play and introduce lots of water games to children with autism. Coupled with swimming, there are many benefits to children’s health and personal development. For example, swimming training can help improve body balance and athletic ability. Just like using music, we can make use of water to create a special interactive game for children with autism, a mile to a smile.
