ABA Intervention

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a professional technology with more than 60 years of practical research and numerous successful cases around the world.

Founder

ABA, developed in the 1960s by Professor Ivar Lovaas, improves the lives of children with autism and their families. It offers groundbreaking methods studied in over a thousand scientific researches for effective autism treatment.

Focus

ABA prioritizes teaching essential social behaviors for immediate and long-term benefits. For instance, addressing self-help behavior provides immediate benefits towards independence, while teaching algebra may not offer the same level of help.

Misunderstanding

In the past, ABA was seen as rigid, but it has evolved. ABA now emphasizes individualized approaches, data analysis, and step-by-step skill breakdown for effective teaching.

Applicability

ABA is not limited to one-on-one therapy; it is suitable for schools, playgroups, and rehabilitation centers. Find qualified therapists through the Behaviors Analyst Certification Board (BACB) website.

What ABA Intervention Teaches Children with Autism?

ABA is versatile, extending beyond severe autism. It applies effective principles, observes behavior, and breaks down skills.

It covers areas like behavioral problems, language development, social skills, self-care, independence, and play skills, making it comprehensive.

Let’s explore behavioral therapy training in detail.

1. Learning to Learn Behaviors

Children with autism often experience learning difficulties, like wandering, lack of attention, and disruptive behaviors. By teaching learning to learn behaviors, such as sitting nicely and paying attention, students can enhance their focus, concentration, and learning efficiency.

2. Help Language Development and Induce Communication

Children with autism encounter various language difficulties, including delayed speech and limited communication with others. ABA intervention prioritizes language development and fosters motivation for communication. ABA effectively enhances pronunciation, vocabulary comprehension, sentence construction, and application, promoting improved language skills in children with autism.

3. Training Social Skills

ABA intervention enhances social interests and skills in children with autism by fostering enjoyment in playtime and learning to consider others’ perspective. It targets individual social competence, improving communication and sharing. Through games like Mr. Wolf, musical chairs, and Hedbanz, ABA intervention facilitates peer communication, social interest development, and friendship-building, addressing the struggles that children with autism face in play skills and social interactions with peers.

4. Handling Behavioral Problems

Children with autism exhibit challenging behaviors like stubbornness and moodiness, leaving parents and teachers feeling helpless. Applied behavior intervention identifies the cause of problem behavior and teaches appropriate replacement behaviors. It also emphasizes applying learned skills in various settings, like home and the street, to promote effective integration.

5. Improving Self-help skills

ABA intervention assists parents of children with autism in addressing both self-care abilities and concentration challenges. It systematically trains children in tasks like using the toilet, dressing, eating independently, and packing school bags, thus promoting independence.

Additionally, it aims to improve concentration and independence, incorporating tasks such as tidying toys and completing homework alone, enabling children to work independently with improved focus and reduced need for constant supervision.

Our ABA works better

Based on our experience, the treatments we develop are based on applied behaviors analysis with proven success. We have many successful cases who have been able to return to mainstream schools.

All rounded programs

Our courses are tailor-made according to the various needs of children.

Generalization of learned skills

Our tailor-made programs focus on enabling children to apply the skills they learn in their daily lives.

Intensive supervision

We provide weekly supervision for each child to ensure the best possible outcome.

Constant communication

Our services are highly transparent. Continuous communication is ensured through daily reports on learning progress by the therapist and monthly clinical meetings between the consultant and parents.

Fun learning

We will add interesting elements to the treatment process to make the lessons more enjoyable and make the children enjoy the learning process.

Our supervisors are BCBAs and QBAs

BCBA and QBA, which stand for “Board Certified Behavior Analyst” and “Qualified Behavior Analyst”, are international certified behavior analyst and are graduate-level certifications.

They are standards established by professionals and are constantly modified and updated to meet the changing needs of our society.

In order to provide better quality treatment services, all of our behavioral consultants are internationally certified analysts or are working towards a degree.
