With references to recent study, 13 % of the children ever diagnosed with autism disorder were estimated to have lost the diagnosis, and parents of 74% of them believed it was changed due to new information.

The lost of diagnosis may be due to the inclusion of new information, with other replacement diagnosis, the effect of early intervention programs which helps their language, communication and social abilities, and with some extent of the children themselves natural growing which ‘grow out’ from the diagnosis.

However, research suggested the natural growing cases on autism got a restricted prerequisite that they on the very beginning already got a high level of language and communication abilities and with higher IQ.

Thus research suggested that early intervention is the key for the explanation of lost of diagnosis that they may improve their skills which may later on have another replacement diagnosis such as ADHD.
