10-year-old Sophie is from Tasmania, Australia, who has autism and is in fourth grade this year. Recently, the school distributed Sophie’s report card and she got all Ds, which made her very sad of disappointing everyone.

Sophie’s father, Jason, though could not get back home immediately, he came up with a creative idea to comfort his daughter. He uploaded a homemade full A report card to Twitter to help her regain confidence, reminding Sophie that she is great at  “making robots” and “fighting with boys” and even get A+ when it comes to “imagination” and “best daughter”.

Unexpectedly, Jason’s post on the twitter has attracted a lot of attention from netizens. So far, it has received more than 50,000 praises and nearly 9,000 reposts. Netizens praised Jason as a warm-hearted father and some netizens even regarded him a Master of Dad. Jason later responded that after Sophie received his report card, she regained  confidence in school and even handmade a report card for his father. She appreciated Dad’s love and praised him as the Best Dad.

Parents should pay more attention to the emotions and behaviors of children with autism, helping them explore own advantages to overcome the setbacks, and finding suitable ways to facilitate children’s growth from parent-child communication.
