Children have received a lot of red packets in the Lunar New Year that parents may feel bothered in dealing with a bunch of red packets. The annual Chinese Lantern Festival is around the corner next week, so we would like to share with you a special and beautiful DIY of lantern made by red packets to turn the waste into treasure!

Materials: 6 long red packets, stapler, scissors, disposable chopsticks, puncher, glue, red string

Steps:
1. First fold the long red packet in half, with the patterned side facing outward.
2. Fold the two corners of the upper and lower ends to the middle, and the six red packets are following the same folding method.
3. Use the stapler to nail the each two folded corners for both the upper and lower ends, and enclose them into a circle in each end.
4. Make three holes at an average interval on the top of lantern and then thread the holes by a red string before attaching to the disposable chopsticks.

Creative handicrafts by red packets can not only reuse those used red packets, but more importantly, both children and parents can involve together through the parent-child DIY process and enjoy the fun of parent-child cooperation and communication. Children with autism are relatively limited in play interests, simple but fun hand-made experience helps them explore a variety of fun in daily life, develop hands-on creative ability and train the communication and expression skills. a mile to a smile!
